CHAPTER 4

GOLDEN FENDERS

“If I can’t beat you with my tricks,” Medea beeps, “I will do it with my magic.”

Medea blasts the ground at his tires. BOOM! The ground explodes. Argonutz leaps back just in time. He whips a 180 and speeds off.

He gets up on his right tires as Medea blasts the ground beneath him again. BOOM!

Then he gets up on his left tires. BOOM!

Argonutz leaps over a ramp as Medea blasts it apart. BOOM!

He ducks behind the other ramp, and Medea blasts it to pieces. BOOM!

The crowd squeaks and rattles with every blast. The course is covered in rubble. Argonutz zips around a berm. Medea blows it up. BOOM!

He flips over the tabletop as a blast of light sizzles by. ZZTT! Argonutz lands facing Medea.

“You can’t escape me forever,” she beeps, shining her lights at him.
